Cassie Walker-                                                         Stoinov~Piano, Voice

 B.A. Atlantic Union College, continued studies at the University of Southern Mississippi.  Collegiate studies include piano with Dr. Lois Leventhall, and voice with Dr. Pamela Roberts and Uliana Clark.  Soprano solo  orchestral  performances including works of Pergolesi and soloist with various churches.  Experienced instructor of various music styles including classical, pop, and music theatre.  

 

 

 Andrew Newman~ Guitar

An Alum of Berklee College of Music, Andy has toured extensively across both the United States and Europe playing with Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Gwar, White Zombie, and Nirvana.  His teaching experience covers a broad range of ages and styles, from beginners to advanced students.  In addition to years of private teaching, he has taught at White's Music Education Center and Doug's Musical Instrument.  Andy applies creative and inventive approaches to supply students with both the knowledge and skills for self-expression, and the mechanics of music.

 
 

 

Greg Silva~Bass

Greg was born in Rhode Island and has been playing professionally since the age of 15. He has been living in the Boston area for the last eighteen years, performing, teaching and studying, as well as touring across the United States, Europe and Canada. He recently played in the band Roomful of Blues and in his first year with the band they were voted best live blues act by Downbeat. Currently Greg is performing with The Chris Fitz Band and The Visions Jazz Trio as well as doing freelance, studio and live session work.  Greg is endorsed by Eden, Azola Basses, Fishman and DR Strings. http://www.gregsilva.net

Michael Flanagan~Band Instruments, Piano

Producer, Songwriter, Multi-Instrumentalist, Michael R Flangan began playing saxophone at age ten and piano at age fourteen. He immediately began performing at local venues in the south shore (Ma) and leading his own groups. By high school he was studying under his mentors Yasko Kubota and Jerry Bergonzi. His love for playing brought him to Boston's own Berklee College of Music, on a performance based scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. After only a short time at Berklee, he had performed tours throughout Japan and the U.S. During his time at Berklee he was fortunate to perform with amazing jazz musicians such as Joanne Brackeen, Terri Lyne Carrington, Bob Moses, Andre Hayward, Esperanza Spalding, Donald Harrison, and Tiger Okoshi. Michael also performed with several hip-hop groups as well as pop and r&b bands. His versatile playing and ability to improvise in a range of styles led him into the world of production and songwriting. Michael's love for R&B and Jazz mixed with his extensive knowlege of theory allow for him to bring something new to the table.

 

 

 

 

Galina Plotnikova~Violin
 
Originally from Astrakhan, Russia, Galina began her musical studies at the age of six. Her fruitful activities as an orchestral, chamber, and solo violinist during high school years at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics (WA) took her across the west coast states, Australia, New Zealand, and brought her with a full ride scholarship to the University of Puget Sound (WA) where she received a Bachelors of Music in violin performance. The highlights of her undergraduate years were working with Maria Sampen, holding principal positions in the university’s orchestras, and studying for a semester in Vienna, Austria. Galina received her Masters of Music from the Longy School of Music studying with Valeria Kuchment and Malcolm Lowe. In addition to MJ’s Music School, she is a member of the Artisan Music Studios faculty.

Vera Savage~Voice, Piano

BM in Voice, Oberlin Conservatory of Music; MM in Voice, Indiana University. Student of Carol Vaness, Marlena Malas, Hilda Harris, Costanza Cuccaro, Tim Noble, Marlene Rosen. Vera has performed operatic roles in North America, Europe, and Asia in repertoire ranging from Mozart to Wagner. Vera recently taught voice at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where she instructed all vocal styles, including contemporary, Broadway, and classical voice.
Vera has received accolades in competitions such as Houston Grand Opera's Eleanor McCollum competition, Chicago's Bel Canto competition, and NATS awards in both musical theatre and opera. 
Vera's international operatic credits include Violetta in La Traviata, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte, Pamina in The Magic Flute, Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow, the title role in Les Mamelles de Tiresias, thetitle role in Alcina, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus. Vera has also performed numerous recitals including art song, Broadway, contemporary, and operatic repertoire.
